Our client is a Cat 4 private banking entity in the DIFC is looking to recruit a Deputy MLRO / MLRO.
Job Responsibilities
Allocate responsibility for ensuring compliance with the relevant jurisdictions procedures for money laundering to the relevant money laundering reporting officer.
Ensure appropriate policies and procedures are in place to enable the client to comply with all applicable regulatory requirements.
Provide training and education programs to ensure all relevant staff are aware of their responsibilities and the procedures to be adhered to.
Take reasonable measures to verify the identity and perform due diligence for any client prior to a proposed service - in accordance with AML and KYC procedures.
Organize AML / Compliance training to be carried out regularly for existing employees and for all new employees and for all new members of staff as soon as practically possible after joining.
Prepare reports and notifications to be filled with the authority; objective of reducing financial crime.
Liaise with and report to the DFSA as appropriate.
Keep records of relevant documentation.
Report to the relevant authority where there are reasonable grounds to suspect that a money laundering offense has been or is being committed.
Requirements:
CAMS professional.
Prior DIFC experience or banking experience (working knowledge of handling CDD for Private or HNI clients) is a must.
The candidate will go thru an authorization process (if not authorized) with DFSA.
The role will report into the SEO and Managing Partner.
