· To monitor, maintain, analyze and troubleshoot data center equipment and software in support of data center operations in a 24x7 shift, based on a roster system (this includes working on public holidays). · Support production operations environment including multiple servers and storage, networking, batch processing, backup and related activities. · Report on status of all events as per the escalation procedures. · To deliver Technical Operations S.L.A to the business users. · To provide L1 support to users on business applications and infrastructure. · Interacting with users and support groups to resolve problems, formulate plans and schedules. · Manage system environment, power, safety and security systems in the Data Center. :: About You: · A degree or diploma in Computer Science or related discipline. · At least 2 to 3 years’ experience in a large Data Centre Operations. · Knowledge of SAP Basis, Unix, DB2, TSRM, ITIL, System Hardware, Operating Systems, System Administration, Monitoring System performance. · Knowledge of backup utilities & DR concepts. · Data Centre certifications highly desirable. · Highly Motivated & Process driven with an eye for detail. · Good communication in English & interpersonal skills. · Knowledge of UPS, Fire Protection and Security Systems present in Data Centres. · Willing to work in 24/7 shift pattern.
