Job Description

Our client, a well-known event management company, is urgently looking for an experienced Cultural Affairs Executive to be based in Abu Dhabi.

The Cultural Affairs Executive serves as a liaison between regional departments, the media, businesses, community agencies, artists, and other entities and individuals who are important to the success of all the Office of Cultural Affairs Programmes.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

Organize events and activations for cultural affairs engagements.
Assist in the development of strategic plans and policies related to Cultural Affairs.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, partners, and government entities to enhance cultural diplomacy efforts.
Conduct research and report writing, prepare presentations, handle internal communications, and coordinate events. Transport equipment and supplies to special events.
Brief the Marketing Department on the preparation of key messaging for cultural affairs engagement Coordinate contracts with artists, installation, and collections management.
Liaise with other city or regional departments to ensure success in the coordination of art activities.
Work in facilitating VIP engagement related to Cultural Affairs with abroad programs and locally in UAE.
Help to maintain records and lists of artists, arts organizations, community groups, funders, and others to promote participation in and sponsoring Office of Cultural Affairs programs.
Support and collaborate with the programming team in areas where there is a cross-over between Cultural Affairs and Programming.
Research and recommend regional and international trips, conferences, festivals, awards, recognitions, and opportunities.

Requirements

Minimum of Bachelor’s degree related to Arts, Education or Events
A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in Arts Education or Community outreach in a public or private organization/foundation, with a genuine passion for arts education and community outreach.
Previous experience in Arts and Culture, public or private sector
Being fluent in English and having a knowledge of Arabic would be a plus.
Willing to work long working hours, when needed.
Strong interest in Arts and Culture
