Generate and monitor corrosion monitoring programs.
Provide technical assessment and interpretation of corrosion/inspection monitoring data and provide recommendations in order to mitigate the corrosion.
Perform the day-to-day work in order to increase the refinery profit and plant reliability & integrity.
Review Process Parameters and excursions and assess corrosion impact on the refinery units.
Carry out engineering studies to determine potential problems and remedies to existing problems, resolve complex technical problems.
Provide corrosion expertise to and effectively interact with Inspection & process engineering groups during unit operations & turnarounds.
Participate in the review of project’s packages & facility modifications (MOC) with respect to corrosion.
Review & optimize chemical injection/treatment to minimize corrosion potential problems.
Conduct or participate in failure investigations into material and corrosion issues.
Support Inspection Engineers and provide input to the regular review/ update of Equipment Strategy/ RBI Plan.
Work with inspectors and ensure appropriate corrosion/ thickness data is collected from the field.
Certified and knowledgeable in NACE corrosion standards.
Certified and knowledgeable in cathodic protection and monitoring.
Evaluate and introduce best practices and new technologies to improve the corrosion control in the refinery.
Participate in external professional activities including conference and committee work where it is consistent with the development and delivery of the business objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor degree in Materials Science or equivalent.
Minimum 10 years Refinery Experience in materials selection, Integrity Operating
