The Contract Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring that contracts are drafted, negotiated, and executed efficiently, while also ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations. Contract and Legal Experience: Contract Drafting: Prepare, review, and draft various types of contracts, ensuring they meet legal requirements and protect the organizations interests. Legal Compliance: Ensure that all contracts adhere to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations with external parties, including vendors and partners, to secure favorable terms and conditions. Risk Mitigation: Identify and address potential legal and contractual risks, working closely with legal counsel as needed. Contract Management: Oversee the full contract lifecycle, from initiation to closeout, including contract amendments and renewals. Pre-Award/Tendering Expertise: Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and market trends to support informed pre-award decisions. Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate and pre-qualify suppliers based on criteria such as quality, cost, reliability, and compliance. Tender Preparation: Develop detailed tender documents, including scope of work, technical specifications, and evaluation criteria. Bid Evaluation: Lead the bid evaluation process, analyzing proposals to ensure they meet technical and financial requirements. Procurement Experience: Procurement Strategy: Collaborate with procurement teams to align contract management with procurement strategies and objectives. Cost Control: Monitor and control procurement costs related to contracts, identifying opportunities for savings and efficiency improvements. SAP Competence: SAP Utilization: Proficiency in using SAP or similar contract management software to track and manage contracts, monitor compliance, and generate reports. Data Analysis: Utilize SAP to analyze contract data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Bachelor’s degree in law, Business, or a related field (Masters degree or JD preferred). Minimum of 10 years of experience in contract management and legal roles, with a focus on pre-award/tendering. Strong knowledge of contract law, procurement best practices, and relevant regulations. Excellent negotiation and contract drafting skills. Proficiency in SAP or other contract management software. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
