Continuous improvement specialists are masters of process. They assess the effectiveness of a business function and offer recommendations for improvement in accordance with a well-defined body of knowledge. This profession works closely with project managers and quality specialists to identify ways to make things better, including the corporate bottom line.
During the course of a normal day, a lead may spend part of the day preparing reports and statistics, and another part working with front-line staff, identifying improvement opportunities and coaching employees on how to work more efficiently.
Identify opportunities for process improvement, waste removal, and cost reduction.
Plan, facilitate and execute continuous improvement events using Lean Six Sigma tools as well as lead long term projects.
Teach, lead and coach cross-functional teams on Lean Six Sigma tools and methodology.
Work to continuously improve processes both on the production floor as well as transactional by collaborating with multiple functions.
Coordinating appointments and meetings and managing staff calendars and schedules.
Supervising, mentoring, training, and coaching our office staff and delegating assignments to ensure maximum productivity.
Coordinating domestic and international travel, including flight, hotel, and car rental reservations.
Requirements
Office management experience.
Excellent computer skills, including a high degree of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
