Our client, a leading electro mechanical company is hiring a Commercial Manager - MEP for their Saudi-based office. A successful candidate will need to have excellent functional and behavioral competencies, negotiation skills and the ability to close deals; and the ability to build strong client relationships.
Main Job Responsibilities:
Provide commercial, contractual, financial, and quantity surveying services
Ability to perform in ambiguity and fast-paced environment
Flexible and proactive/self-motivated working style with strong personal ownership of problem resolution, accountability mindset
Negotiating with the Client’s representative
Administers ongoing Contracts, Preparing contractual correspondences, notices, and instructions
Resolving contractual and commercial problems
Professional delivery of sustainable, profitable growth
Ensuring that all stakeholders understand and adhere to contractual obligations
Ensuring that the financial aspects and impact of a contract are clear to all parties
A proper view is taken of periodic performance (financial and progress)
Preparing and monitoring cash flow and variances related to EVM from cost loaded program and monitoring the project’s cost
Delivery of consistent value and cost reporting, as required for Business Unit and Project control and review
Develops negotiating strategies, identifies risks and potential and uncovers opportunities and establishes new accounts
Closes new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Quantity Surveying, Commercial management, or any related field. A Masters degree is a plus
A minimum of 6 to 8 years in the Construction industry. GCC experience is essential
Proven experience working for a contractor, ideally with MEP Contractors
Strong understanding of pre & post-contract, Bidding, Estimation, Tendering, Cost Control, Contract Management, Negotiation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders at all levels
