Black & Grey HR is recruiting on behalf of a diversified Holding Group headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeking a Chief Legal Officer (CLO). Our client is searching for an accomplished CLO to provide strategic leadership and oversight for all legal affairs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to-end management of legal matters, including contract negotiation, regulatory compliance, litigation strategy, and corporate governance frameworks. Expertise in executive leadership within high-growth environments is essential, along with a proven track record of aligning legal strategy with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership, oversight, and direction of all legal matters, including contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, and corporate governance.
- Represent the company’s legal interests in interactions with external parties, regulators, and stakeholders.
- Oversee the development and implementation of policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks and ensure ethical conduct.
- Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents and contracts with clients, suppliers, partners, and employees.
- Ensure that contracts comply with legal, regulatory, and organizational policies and procedures.
- Monitor changes in laws and regulations that may affect the company and recommend proactive strategies to address legal challenges.
- Lead and manage the legal team by providing guidance, mentorship, and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to company management on a variety of issues.
- Advise on corporate governance practices and corporate secretarial functions, ensuring compliance with statutes and regulations.
- Guide the board of directors and senior management on the legal implications of corporate strategies and decisions.
Requirements
- A master’s degree in law is a must.
- A minimum of 9 years of legal experience in a corporate legal department, with a significant portion of that experience in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of the real estate industry and sector-specific laws and regulations.
- Proven track record in negotiations, contract management, and risk assessment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate and negotiate effectively at all levels.
