As Associate Director- Retail Design & Delivery, you will be reporting to the Associate Director of RDD & Projects at our clients Head Office in Abu Dhabi.
The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of demonstrated experience in retail design and delivery roles with reputed developers/real estate companies in the Middle East. You will be required to liaise between tenants, RDD consultants, design, projects delivery, leasing, FM and Asset Management teams for fit-out management of retail units.
Roles, Responsibilities, and Duties:
Act as a landlord liaison for complete design and fit-out process coordinating with Tenant & Tenant appointed consultants and contractors
Facilitate approval of design, handover, mobilization, and fit-out to completion and opening
Liaise with the Leasing to ensure fit for purpose leasing based on the unit type from a technical perspective
Collaborate with Design and Delivery teams regarding retail design, construction program, snagging, compliance of LODs to site conditions, final unit inspection, and handover to Asset Management and FM teams
Focus to ensure adequate base build provision for MEP
Prepare and update the design and fit-out manuals liaising with relevant teams for specific requirements
Close liaison with the Leasing team to ensure the feasible design and fit-out lead times to determine rent commencement dates and milestone programs for tenant/contractors
Liaising with regulatory authorities to obtain approvals for change of use and adopt best practices for permits and approvals to reduce lead times
Manage leasing variations and tenant change requests to achieve required modifications/upgrades to base build elements in coordination with the projects team and FWA contractor
Close coordination with the design team during the detailed design process to ensure adherence to program, approved drawings, and quality standards
Ensure completion of fit-out works in accordance with the lease agreements, design guidelines and fit-out manuals up to final inspection, closeout and issuance of landlord approval to trade targeting 85% units trading on time
On-going evaluation of the retail delivery process, products, processes to ensure continuous improvement as per best practices
Attend asset coordination meetings as required
