As A&R Manager, you will report to the Managing Director - MENA Operations. A successful candidate combines artistic sensitivity with business acumen, strong negotiation abilities, and scouting local and international talents.
Main Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
Facilitate the local Music market and create an environment for Artists through collaborative writing sessions, planning international writing trips for artists, and writing camps (Songwriting and Producing)
Strong PR network and managing relations in the Market. Publishing live events to promote artists
Attend performances and events to establish relations with the agents and artists and remain updated on the local music scene
Develop strong relationships with industry professionals
Collaborate with other music professionals, International and Local labels, and pitch songs to both local and international artists and labels to create an opportunity to get to know the artists
Branding and presenting the signed artists in the market and promoting the music to malls and various other brands
Identify opportunities for artists and writers with the Sync team located in the UK (TV, Radio, Ads, Movies, etc.)
Stay up to date on competitor activities and understand which artist is booming in the market
Efficiently manage audio files and marketing assets
Running campaigns in the local markets and coordinating announcements of the artist that has been recently signed with the business through Articles, Website, or Marketing to promote the Artist
Should be able to scout talents, analyze music trends to understand the rising talents in the region. Have an overall idea to sign the best talents in the market and prepare to sign them as soon as possible for the MENA Region
Create a network within the MENA artist community
Requirements
Bachelors degree in music, business, or a related field
Proven experience in working with artists, agents, and producers
Excellent communication skills in English and Arabic, additional language such as French is advantageous
Ability to identify and develop unique talent
Familiarity with the industry contracts and legal aspects
