Job Description
ITP Media Group (ITP) is one of the largest media companies in the Middle East, with a portfolio of more than 80 brands. The company delivers quality up to date content to its readers, viewers, and guests through digital, print, events, awards, video content, and social media. These brands include major international and regional names such as Time Out, Arabian Business, Harper’s Bazaar, Construction Week, Esquire and GQ. Job Purpose: ITP Luxury Group, (including Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, GQ ME, Cosmo ME, Esquire ME, ICON MENA and Grazia ME) is seeking a Beirut-based Arabic Speaking Content Editor to work at the heart of our fast-paced editorial team. The Arabic Editor is responsible for writing, translating, and editing stories for our print magazines, our digital articles, our social media captions and much more. This role is for someone who can work under strict deadlines, has a keen eye for detail and can present stories in a captivating and authentic manner, across various platforms in both Arabic and English original languages. Responsibilities: • Write weekly articles across all of our luxury brands and platforms • Demonstrate an interest in men & women’s fashion and luxury through news that relate to fashion, culture, people & society, music and gaming • Must be tuned into the industry trends spanning across all mediums from fashion, lifestyle, design & more • On a quarterly basis, assist the Dubai editorial teams in creating and translating the luxury group’s magazines from English to Arabic • Proofread and review the quality of all Arabic copy and content – we do not want a human google translate! • Work with the Social Media Manager on creating the daily and monthly social calendar and provide captions in Arabic for each post • Research, generate and report story ideas for the Arabic platforms in original language • Maintain high standards for digital content to increase traffic, increase social following • Leverage glossaries and style guides to align with the brand’s tone of voice (Ensure accuracy, technically and linguistically) Requirements: • 3-5 years’ experience in writing, journalism and/or translation or related field • Highly motivated, who can manage multiple projects simultaneously and ensure timely delivery • A strong eye for detail and excellent organizational & time management skills • Confident, proactive, strong communication and collaboration skillsRequirements
