Job Description

Job title: Application support analyst

Work arrangement: offshore (for example, working from India)

Contract duration: 12 months (short-term contract)

Salary range: open to negotiation

 

Primarily involved in the Applications Support Services of IT Department, delivering Services to the customers internally and externally. Implement and execute best practices, techniques, and procedures essential to an application’s optimal operation, performance and availability to the customers while maintaining the quality of data and the health of the platforms and service delivered (not limited to patient portal and clinical portal)

 

Key Activities and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the monitoring of customer applications, raising and monitoring critical logs and working directly with customers internal and external teams to troubleshoot and support incidents regarding customers applications and systems as part of the day to day operations.
  • Follow-up with users and support staff on requests and incident tickets resolution lifecycle.
  • Users management within the platform or delivered services 
  • Leverage problem solving skills and accurate working method when collaborating with Application team and with customers, on a wide variety of business and technical issues in a fast pace environment that is managed using ITIL methodology.
  • Understand the technical architecture of Malaffi’s customer solutions.
  • Implement, optimize, test and release the data management scripts, hotfixes, system monitoring scripts on the customers environment
  • Assist in the project team charged with the implementation of Malaffi applications to customers, more specifically the technical and data integration between applications.
  • Participate in regular customer service status meetings.
  • Validate and keep the customer environments up-to-date (internal and external).
  • Perform other tasks that manager may assign from time to time.

 


Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent field.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in IT application support services.
  • Preferably with experience in healthcare industry.
  • Solid understanding of HIE best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Fluent in English (oral and written)
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to deal with difficult situations.
  • Strong data analytical skills and empirical reporting capabilities.
  • A confident and determined approach. A high degree of self-motivation, drive and a self-starter.
  • Resilience and the ability to cope with rejection.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and professional attitude. Capacity to flourish in a competitive environment.
  • Must be able to work effectively with all levels of management and executive staff, possessing tact, discretion and diplomacy.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. Knowledge of the dynamics and trends in health care or health information exchange.
  • Rhapsody knowledge is a plus
  • HL7 knowledge is a must
