Two- or Three-years Technical Diploma or Trade certificate or equivalent.
Minimum 5 years hands-on experience as an online Analyzer Technician in diversified oil & gas processing or petrochemical plants.
Computer literate with knowledge of commonly used Microsoft business software packages would be advantageous.
Good written and oral communication skills in English.
Good knowledge of field instruments, gas & liquid sample conditioning techniques and analytical principles such as chromatographic separation, UV & Lead Acetate H2S measurement, IR / UV absorption, continuous emission monitoring systems, aluminum oxide & piezoelectric moisture, paramagnetic and zirconium cell-based oxygen and principles behind pH, conductivity ORP & dissolved oxygen is essential.
Should have hands-on experience preferably with Yokogawa (GC 1000) and/or Siemens (Maxum Edition II) gas chromatographs, Ametek H2S, SO2, moisture & oxygen, Galvanic Applied Sciences H2S, Pana metrics moisture and physical properties analysis such as vapor pressure, electromechanical analyzers and associated sample conditioning.
Good Knowledge of calibration of various types of gas & liquid analyzers and usage of test equipment.
Should be able to troubleshoot failures, problems, and issues with the sample systems, gas chromatographs, spectrophotometric, and moisture analyzers. Should be able to understand piping & instrumentation diagrams, process flow diagrams, loop drawings, and cause & effect, simple function block & logic diagrams.
