Job Description

The Accountant will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial operations of the company, with a focus on interior fit out projects. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, managing budgets, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting and Analysis:
   
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  
• Provide regular financial reports to management for decision-making purposes.
  
2. Budget Management:
   
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for interior fit out projects.
  
• Monitor and track project expenses against budgets, identifying and addressing any variances.
  
3. Cost Control and Analysis:
   
• Monitor project costs, including material, labor, and overhead expenses.
  
• Analyze cost data to identify areas for potential cost savings and process improvements.
  
4. Accounts Payable and Receivable:
   
• Process invoices, verify accuracy, and ensure timely payments to vendors and suppliers.
  
• Monitor and manage customer invoicing, ensuring timely and accurate billing.
  
5. Cash Management:
   
• Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure adequate funds are available for ongoing operations and project expenses.
  
• Reconcile bank statements and manage petty cash.
  
6. Tax Compliance:
   
• Ensure compliance with local and national tax regulations, including filing of tax returns and payment of taxes in a timely manner.
  
7. Financial Audits:
   
• Coordinate and assist with external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
  
8. Financial Systems and Tools:
   
• Utilize accounting software and other financial tools to maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
  
9. Vendor and Contractor Management:
   
• Maintain relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and other financial stakeholders, ensuring adherence to contractual terms.
  
10. Compliance and Regulations:
    
• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards and regulations, and ensure the companys financial practices are in compliance.
  
11. Ad-hoc Financial Tasks:
    
• Assist with special financial projects and tasks as assigned by management.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  
• Min 1-2 yrs. of experience in accounting or finance, with specific experience in the interior fit out industry highly desirable.
  
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
• Attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
